Chapter 24

“We need to get down to the hospital.” Detective Mann informed Cameron.

“What's going on?” Cameron knew the telephone call from Detective Mann at such an early hour in the morning meant something important had happened.

“Problems at the Williams' residence,” replied Detective Mann.

“What kind of problems?” asked Cameron.

“Sick people. Several people who have been staying at the Williams' residence are in grave condition,” Detective Mann answered.

“How's that? What's happening?”

“We are not certain yet. But the guess is that it's related to the food that was served there.”

“Food poisoning?”

“Probably worse.”

“Worse?”

“Yes. We believe they are suffering from the early stages of what killed Pastor Williams.”

“Where did the food come from?”

“Seems the food was prepared at Sister Joiner's residence.”

“I'll meet you at the hospital,” Cameron stated. “Afterward we must visit Sister Joiner again.”
